Richard Alexander signs pledge against Agenda 21
Please note Richard Alexander‘s commitment to NOT accept federal funds tied to federal mandates like Agenda 21. This is a stark contrast between Alexander and his opponent. This has been a major part of Richard’s platform from the beginning.

Richard Alexander, Union County resident and primary run-off candidate for NC Superintendent of Public Instruction, recently married for the first time. He met his bride, Lori, while on a discussion panel for a foster care course that she was taking. Richard had been the foster parent of over one hundred children, most of them troubled teens, and was in the process of adopting. Lori was very involved in foster care and was also running her own business. It is hard to imagine how they even found time to date! Even when he moved away, they stayed in touch and spent their vacation time together. Things finally reached an impasse while on a cruise together with their families. It was then that they realized they wanted to be together forever, and had no desire for a future separate from each other. They married on June 16, 2012. Richard and Lori’s marriage brought together Richard’s adopted son (age 24) and Lori’s adopted son (age 13) and daughter (age 10). Richard and Lori have a unique and inspiring love story.
